「牛鬼」とは西日本に伝わる頭が牛で胴体が蜘蛛の妖怪で、正体は老いた椿の根という説もあります。海岸や渚などの水辺に潜み、毒をはきながら人間を喰い殺す妖怪です。
今回の9周年記念商品には熟練した職人の手により、精緻な刺繍が施されています。
